Lady teacher Murder Case: BJP Observes 12-Hour Kalahandi Bandh, Congress stage protest

Bhubaneswar: On Wednesday, the BJP asked for the resignation of Dibya Shankar Mishra, the Minister of State, in his suspected participation in the issue of the missing school teacher, in the twelve-hour band.

President Debendra Mohanty, Kalahandi district branch of the party, said the Bhawanipatna media that the minister had been engaged in the abduction and killing of Mahaling, Kalahandi District Lady Teacher Mamita Meher of the Sunshine English Medium School. The corpse of the instructor was recovered on Tuesday at the school stadium.

BJP's district unit members in Kalahandi imposed the band around 6 a.m. They have gone along the streets of Mahaling to verify the stores, businesses, governmental and private bodies are closed. Sunshine English Medium School Mamita worked at Mahaling as a teacher.

The BJP activists also blocked the city's main highways by burning pneumatics and chanted chants against the administration of Dibya Shankar Mishra, Minister of State for Home Affairs. The minister was claimed to have engaged in kidnapping and killing Mamita.

On Tuesday, President Debendra Mohanty of the Party's District Unit called on Kalahandi Bandh for the resignation of the minister and the CBI inquiry.

In the meantime, BJP Mahila Morcha members shot eggs in Bhawanipatna at the Dibya Shankar Mishra house, calling for his arrest.

 Congress protest infront of Naveen Niwas

Activists of the Youth Congress led by president Smruti Lenka organised a demonstration at Naveen Niwas, the house of Naveen Patnaik, chief minister, in Bhubaneswar.

They requested his resignation, alleging Minister Dibyashankar Mishra's participation in the Mamita affair. Black flags have also been shown as a protest by youth Congress employees.

The cops on the spot apprehended them as they tried to barge into Naveen Niwas.
