Man attempts self-immolation outside police station in Cuttack

Cuttack: In the Cuttack district of Odisha on Thursday, a young man allegedly tried self-immolation due to police inactivity on his complaint.
The young man, known as Gunanidhi Bisoi of the district's Salepur area, reportedly complained about a land dispute to the Kishannagar police station approximately a week ago. He went to the police station that day to ask about it because the argument got worse and the cops did nothing about his complaint.
He sought police assistance to settle the land issue and inquired about the complaint. But according to reports, the police did not provide him with any satisfactory answers.
Gunanidhi set himself on fire in front of the police station after apparently being upset by the argument and felt helpless in the face of police inaction.
He was brought to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack in an ambulance by locals and police station staff after they put out the fire. His health was critical, according to hospital authorities.
