PM Modi Praises Odisha CM In Rajya Sabha

Bhubaneswar: While responding to the Rajya Sabha's Motion of Thanks discussion on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for being at the forefront of changes in the mining and coal sectors that are in line with the Centre's agenda.
However, this is not the first time that Prime Minister Modi has praised Odisha's efforts. In 2020, he praised Naveen for leading by example by registering his sister Gita Mehta's name on the Odisha government's COVID-19 website for foreign returnees.
The PM tweeted, “Setting a great example, Chief Minister! I hope others also emulate Naveen Babu. We all can do our bit in preventing the spread of COVID-19.”
In 2019, Modi praised Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and his government for their huge evacuation efforts in the aftermath of Cyclone Fani. "Naveen babu ne bohat acha plan kiya," he told the journalists. "Bharat sarkar usmein unke saath reh karke sari cheezon ko aage badha payegi."
