Sand Mafia tries to crush a tehsildar under a tractor in Jajpur

Jajpur: On Tuesday, the sand mafia allegedly attempted to mow down the Dasrathpur tehsildar at Pallisahi on the Baitarani riverbanks in Odisha's Jajpur district.
The tehsildar had received allegations that a considerable number of tractors were being loaded illegally with sand. Sethi and other officials headed to the location to raid the sand mafia and put an end to the illicit operation.
Many mafia members escaped on their tractors when they saw them. Officials, on the other hand, were able to detain one tractor, whose driver left the scene, leaving the vehicle behind. According to accounts, the vehicle's owner contacted the tehsildar and pleaded to be allowed off.
However, Sethi requested that he drive the tractor to the police station. The tehsildar suddenly realised that the owner was attempting to crush him under the truck. To save himself, Sethi dove into the river. The owner ran away from the scene.
"I was aware that something might go wrong." I jumped into the river to save myself. "I've filed a police report and am hopeful that the perpetrators will be apprehended shortly," he stated.
