Selfie turns fatal: youth swept away in river

Rayagada : On sunday, as he took a selfie with his cell phone, a young man known as Bilal Ansari slid into water. Since then, he has been absent.
The youth of Uttar Pradesh who have long been in the city could not help but refuse to try to take a picture along the shores of Rayagada's river Ragavali.
Bilal, a food seller, travelled across the river to the hanging bridge to capture Nagave Sunday evening's picturesque splendour with a buddy but, allegedly, his enthusiasm for photography cost him his beloved life.
Ansari was carried away while he was going into the river to snap a selfie in the steep terrain, unaware of the powerful river current. He sank into the deep water in seconds, but was no longer heard.
His acquaintance told Rayagada Police about the matter. On Monday morning on the basis of a complaint, Fire Services staff started a search for him. Until recently, Ansari has been unable to be traced.
