Malkangiri: Six people were missing after a boat carrying them crashed in a river on Friday night at Kutumapali under Kalimela block in Malkangir district.
According to information, six people were aboard a boat that was ferrying them from the Kutumaplai ghat when it lost balance in the water current and drowned in the middle of the river.
Following a tip, MV-79 police and fire department officers went to the scene and began a search operation.
