Youth stabs his brother to death for refusing to give him belt to wear in Jharsuguda
Jharsuguda: In a horrific occurrence, a young man is accused of fatally stabbing his brother in the Jharsuguda area of Odisha during an argument over a pant belt.
The brothers Umesh (21) and Somesh (24), who reside in Gualpada under Orient police station in Brajrajnagar, reportedly got into an argument about wearing the belt. A small quarrel between the brothers over the matter turned into a physical altercation.
Umesh stabbed his older brother Somesh with a sharp knife in a moment of rage. Their family members hurried Somesh to Central Hospital at Ib Valley, run by Mahanadi Coalfield Ltd., when he began to bleed excessively (MCL). However, the hospital's medical staff pronounced Somesh brought dead.
A squad from the Orient police station responded to the hospital after being notified and took the body into custody. The body was sent for a post-mortem after they registered a case based on a complaint made by the father of two brothers.
Umesh has also been held by the police for further action. Two children and a wife are left behind by Somesh.
