Bargarh: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan allegedly committed suicide at the CRPF camp in Jagdalpur area of Padampur sub-division in Odisha's Bargarh district by shooting himself with his service revolver.
Prasanjit Pal, a West Bengal resident, has been identified as the deceased. However, the reason for his action has yet to be determined.
According to sources, Prasanjit was working in a watch tower late Monday night. He was later discovered dead on the tower.
During the night, some of his colleagues rushed him to Padampur hospital. They claimed Prasanjit committed suicide by shooting himself with his service revolver, but they didn't say why.
According to sources, an investigation into his death is underway.
