Devi river drowning tragedy: Third body fished out
After a thorough search, Fire Service personnel recovered the body of the third student, who went missing with two of his classmates the previous day in the Devi river near Machhagaon under Balikuda block in Odisha's Jagatsinghpur district.

Subham Patra (15) of Satyanagar in Bhubaneswar has been identified. Satyajit Barik (15) and Swabhiman Barik (16) of Chandrapada village in the district's Ambashala area were also killed. Satyajit and Swabhiman's bodies were recovered on Monday.
Satyajit recently completed his HSC examinations at Ambika High School in Balikuda, whereas Swabhiman attended Maharshi College in Bhubaneswar. The incident occurred while Swabhiman and his friend Tapan Kumar Martha (16) were visiting a relative in Ambasala. On Monday morning, Swabhiman, Tapan, Satyajit, and Subham pedaled to the Devi River. Subham entered the water. Tapan slipped and was swept away by the strong river current while shooting. Swabhiman and Satyajit dove into the river to save Subham but were swept away by the powerful current. When Tapan saw his friends drowning, he raised an alarm, which alerted locals, who then notified police.
Satyajit was rescued in critical condition, but he was pronounced dead at the Balikuda community health center, according to sources.
