Balangir: On Wednesday, Balangir Town Police in Odisha made one arrest and seized 43 lakh rupees worth of first imitation clothing from some well-known brands.

Rajesh Kumar Lakhani has been recognized as the person detained.

500 pairs of "Under Armour" track pants, 346 pairs of "Levi's" jeans, and 410 pairs of "Calvin Klein" jeans were confiscated during the raid on the wholesale store, Lakhani New Garment, Bolangir Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Tofan Bag said to the media. He said that bogus stickers had been applied to the clothing after it had been shipped from Raipur.

According to the SDPO, the complaint was made by Deepesh Gupta, a Mumbai-based representative of the clothing company who had been approached on Tuesday by a customer who was dubious about the quality of the purchase.

In accordance with Sections 420, 468, and 471 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 51 and 63 of the Copyright Act, a case has been filed, and further investigation is ongoing.
