Bhubaneswar: On Monday, the body of a de-addiction center inmate was discovered hanging in the Odisha capital's Nandan Vihar area.
According to sources, the body of the youth was discovered hanging in a room at the de-addiction center located at Nandan Vihar under the jurisdiction of Infocity Police Station in Bhubaneswar.
After being notified, a team of police officers and forensic experts went to the scene. As the police launched an investigation into the incident, the body was recovered and sent for a postmortem.
Attempts are being made to determine the circumstances that led to the incident. It is unclear whether the inmate committed suicide or if he was murdered. An investigation is underway, and more information is awaited.
