PM Modi encourages BJP MPs from Odisha to increase party's presence in the state by being more active on the ground.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a meeting with BJP MPs from Odisha, emphasizing the need for increased on-the-ground and social media presence. He recommended that the MPs organize "tiffin meetings," small group gatherings with party workers, to bolster the party's influence in the state. Stressing the importance of capitalizing on the party's recent electoral successes, Modi highlighted the challenges of retaining power and encouraged the MPs to address the concerns of the people. He also shared the BJP's past success in Gujarat municipal elections and suggested focusing on engaging with villagers and party workers through these tiffin meetings. Additionally, the PM emphasized the responsible use of natural resources and the need to strengthen the party's organization for long-term governance. Following the meeting, the MPs also met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Notably, former Rajya Sabha MP Mamata Mohanta, who recently joined BJP after leaving BJD, may soon be elected to the Upper House on a BJP ticket.
