Journalist Ranjan Mohanty from Odisha dies

Bhubaneswar: In the Mayurbhanj district of Odisha, senior journalist Ranjan Mohanty, who wrote for the well-known Odia daily "Sambad," passed suddenly on Friday. He had problems with his kidneys and liver.

Mohanty served as Sambad's delegate in the district's Betnoti block.

He started his journalism career with the daily newspaper "Amari Katha" after leaving the military. Additionally, he served as the association's president in the Betnoti block.

According to sources, he had a long history of diseases relating to the liver and kidney before being diagnosed with diabetes. He was receiving treatment at SUM Hospital in Bhubaneswar before moving on to Jyoti Hospital in Balasore.
