Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik declared that the government and organizers of the FIH Men's Hockey World Cup 2024 will invite all Chief Ministers to the sporting spectacular, which will take place in Bhubaneswar and Rourkela.

Patnaik made the statement ahead of the sporting spectacle during an all-party meeting in Bhubaneshwar on Thursday. It was attended by representatives from the ruling BJD, the opposition BJP and Congress, the CPI(M), the CPI, the Samajwadi Party, the RJD, and the AAP.

In order to ensure the smooth running of the international event, Patnaik stated, "We have decided to invite the Chief Ministers of all the states..."

Representatives from all major parties praised the decision.

Patnaik also praised the Centre, notably Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for its help in hosting the event, which will take place from January 13 to 29.

He stated that the smooth running of the event is important not just for Odisha but also for the entire nation. "As a result, we must work together to make the event a success," Patnaik told the leaders of various parties.

Union minister Dharmendra Pradhan, who was present at the meeting, stated that the national government would provide all possible assistance to the state.

"I would like to thank the Odisha government for hosting the world sporting tournament," he remarked. "We should strive together to guarantee that Odisha produces as many as 100 Olympians by 2036, when the state celebrates its 100th foundation day," Pradhan added.
