Berhampur: Purna Chandra Swain, a BJD legislator from Surada, has passed the HSC offline examination.
The three-time MLA from Surada in Ganjam district scored 340 out of a possible 500 points in the exam, earning a B2 grade. He had taken the Surada Girls' High School exams. Because of his health problems, he was assigned to an isolated room.
The ruling party representative attempted to sit for the HSC examination multiple times in the past but was unable to do so due to his obligations to politics and social activities.
After many students claimed discrepancies in marks awarded to them via the alternative assessment technique, the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) conducted the offline Matric exams.
On Tuesday, the BSE released the results of the offline exams. The examinations were passed by 80.83 percent of the candidates.
