Odisha Opens a Children's Help Desk Called "Sampark"

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government created ‘Sampark,' a state helpline for children, in conjunction with UNICEF.

During COVID-19, Women and Child Development Minister Tukuni Sahu launched a help desk aimed at offering psychological support to youngsters.

Speaking at the event, Sahu discussed the numerous difficulties that have arisen as a result of the epidemic, as well as the role that the help desk will play in assisting the Government and the Department of Women and Child Development in implementing policies that are in the best interests of children.

This decision, according to Sahur, is made in the hopes of strengthening Childline services through the collaboration of several ministries, including the Departments of School and Mass Education, and Health, as well as improving follow-up mechanisms at the state and district levels.

She believes that a collaborative effort between all ministries, as well as the assistance desk ‘Sampark,' can assure the success of the Ashirbaad plan, ensuring that our children's futures are secured and their minds are reinforced, preparing them to face the world in the future.
