Rairangpur SDJM Smaranika Pradhan dies in road accident

Rairangpur: On Thursday night, a car accident claimed the life of Smaranika Pradhan, the Sub-Divisional Judicial Magistrate (SDJM), Rairangpur in the Mayurbhaj district of Odisha.
The SDJM was driving on National Highway 49 with her husband when the tragedy happened. The driver of the car lost control and slammed into a roadside power pole at Chainebeda, which is in the neighbourhood of Jashipur police station.
As soon as Pradhan arrived at the hospital in Jashipur, the staff pronounced her dead.
In the Puri district, Pradhan is a Krushnaprasad native. The incident happened when she was making her way back to her husband's house from a gathering in her paternal village.
Sources claim that the motorist may have lost control because the area has experienced considerable rain for the last two to three days, making the roadways slick.
