Tiger fear in Odisha's Daspalla village
Daspalla: Since a few days ago, residents of Sakeshi under the Daspalla forest range in Odisha's Nayagarh district have reportedly been living in constant fear due to reports of three tigers prowling the region.
According to reports, residents of the Tendabadi panchayat's Puruna Poibadi district claim to have seen the huge cats' pugmarks in a number of locations and have even heard their growls at night.
"At night, we can hear their growls. A news report reported a villager as saying, "Villagers have also spotted their pugmarks.
Villagers in Kusumgadia, Barasahi, Khalisahi, and Kusumkana are now too scared to leave their homes at night or take their livestock out for grazing during the day.
Along with tigers, an elephant herd has also caused anxiety in the neighbourhood. At least 14 elephants are currently roaming the region, causing damage to adjacent properties as well as crops.
