Bhubaneswar: For the next three days, a heat wave is expected in one or two locations in Western Odisha.

The Special Relief Commissioner has urged the district collectors to keep a close eye on the situation and has advised people to avoid going out during peak hours unless it is an emergency.

From 8.30 a.m. on June 6 to 8.30 a.m. on June 8, a yellow heatwave warning has been issued for the districts of Balangir, Boudh, Sonepur, and Bargarh.

On Saturday, the highest maximum temperature was 45 degrees Celsius in Balangir and the lowest minimum temperature was 22.6 degrees Celsius in Deogarh in Odisha's lowlands.
