Puspangini Joshi has been identified.
According to a Vigilance release, Joshi demanded illegal gratification from a headmaster who had previously served as hostel in-charge in exchange for the adjustment/approval of utilisation certificates and the issuance of clearance certificates. Her entire bribe money was recovered.
With a case filed under Section 7 of the Prevention of Corruption (Amendment) Act, 2018, Vigilance officials conducted simultaneous searches at three locations associated with Joshi to determine whether she had accumulated assets disproportionate to her known sources of income.
