Koraput: On Thursday, a Class 10 student died suddenly after falling unconscious while taking the matriculation examination in Odisha's Koraput district.
The incident allegedly occurred at an examination center in the district's Damanjodi area.
Kuna Pujari, a Class 10 student at Malusanta Government High School in Damanjodi, was identified as the deceased student.
According to sources, the boy was taking the exam at Saraswati Vidya Mandir in Damanjodi's Nalco township when he became unconscious.
The school authorities immediately rushed him to Nalco hospital in an ambulance. Doctors, however, declared him dead upon arrival.
When they were informed, a team of police officers rushed to the scene and began an investigation.
While the exact cause of death has not been determined, it is believed that he was suffering from some illness. The incident is being investigated.
