Odisha's Deputy Chief Minister, Pravati Parida, launched the BJP government's 'Subhadra Yojana' portal at the Lok Seva Bhavan in Bhubaneswar on Monday. Speaking to ANI, the Deputy CM said, "Subhadra Yojana is a flagship scheme under the Odisha government, benefitting over 1 crore women." "Applicants interested in this scheme can now visit the official Subhadra website and provide the required details to avail its benefits. The scheme will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 17," stated Deputy CM Pravati Parida.

Earlier, Odisha's Deputy Chief Minister emphasized the key aspects of the Subhadra Yojana, disclosing that the scheme has a budget allocation of Rs 10,000 crore. She also mentioned that a list of 1.5 crore women has been compiled, and a standard operating procedure will be set up to determine the distribution of funds.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi had earlier announced that the state government plans to launch the Subhadra Yojana in Odisha in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on September 17, coinciding with his birthday. Responding to the discussion on the motion of thanks on the governor's address in the Assembly, the chief minister stated that the Odisha government has decided to provide Rs 50,000 to women, who make up 50 per cent of the state's population. "No development can be achieved by ignoring women. The implementation of the scheme will fulfill every woman's dream for financial independence and empowerment," he added.

Majhi further mentioned that the BJP government aims to fulfill the hopes, aspirations, and dreams of 4.5 crore people in Odisha. The government has initiated the establishment of 'Odia Asmita' and aims for all-round development through transparent administration. "The first duty of the state government is to protect Odia Asmita through the enrichment of language, literature, culture, and heritage, for which a corpus fund of Rs 200 crore has been established. The government has started implementing these initiatives from the first day in office," he explained. The Odisha government has launched the Subhadra Yojana to empower women by providing Rs 50,000 in financial assistance.
