Odisha Govt effects major IPS reshuffle; Sanjay Kumar appointed new ADG, law & order
The Odisha government on Thursday effected a major reshuffle among IPS officers by shifting 18 senior police officers from the present place of posting.

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government on Thursday effected a major reshuffle among IPS officers by shifting 18 senior police officers from the present place of posting.
According to a notification issued by the General Administration and Public Grievance Department, Sudhansu Sarangi, Special DG, Police Railways and Coastal Security has been transferred and appointed as DG, Fire Services, and CG, HG, Director, CID.
Similarly, Amitabh Thakur, Additional DGP, Operations has been appointed as Transport Commissioner.
The government has also transferred SPs of 5 districts in the reshuffle. Keonjhar SP Mitrabhanu Mahapatra has been transferred and appointed Rourkela SP. He will replace Mukesh Kumar Bhamoo who has been shifted to Sambalpur, while Nitin Kusalkar, the present Balangir SP will be new Keonjhar SP.
The present Sambalpur SP, B Gangadhar has been appointed as Mayurbhanj SP. He will replace Khilari Rishikesh Dyandeo who has been appointed as Balangir SP.
