Security guard thrashes co-worker to death in Odisha’s Boudh

The incident, according to sources, happened in Khuntiapada Jogibhogora after a contentious debate between the two security officers.
Ranjan Pradhan, a resident of the village of Rautbahal, was named as the deceased. Security guard Prakash Behera of Khuntiapada, who is accused of perpetrating the crime, was apprehended after turning himself in to the police.
According to information, security personnel have been stationed at the construction site of the railway. Previously, one guard would receive the night shift, and the other would receive the day shift. On Sunday night, while Ranjan was on duty, Prakash arrived at the scene, and the two got into a fight.
Prakash allegedly picked up an axe during the altercation and cut Ranjan in a fit of rage, murdering him there and then. The issue is still being investigated further.
