ED Questions Odisha MLA For Second Day In Job Fraud Case

Bhubaneswar: For the second day in a row, Gopalpur MLA Pradeep Panigrahi appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a money laundering case.

On Monday, he was interrogated by the ED for nine hours.

Shruti Panigrahi, the MLA's daughter, was interrogated by the ED for six hours just a few days earlier.

In a case involving job fraud at Tata Motors, Panigrahi is charged with money laundering. The MLA is accused of accepting money on behalf of Akash Kumar Pathak, the son of suspended IFS officer Abhay Kant Pathak, with the promise of providing them with jobs at the firm.

The MLA had previously been handed three summonses to appear before the ED, but he had declined due to health reasons.
