Silver ornaments of deities stolen from temple in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: Unknown miscreants broke into the famous Sunadei temple in the heart of Odisha's capital and fled with gold and silver ornaments worth Rs five lakh.
The theft at Sunadei temple, Tinimundia Chhak, near Nicco Park in Bhubaneswar, was discovered on Tuesday morning.
According to sources, the thieves entered the temple grounds by scaling the boundary wall and then breaking two locks to gain access to the main shrine complex. Aside from gold and silver ornaments, several other items, including sarees, were discovered to be stolen.
The temple priest discovered the locks broken and the ornaments missing this morning and notified shrine management officials. Following that, the police were notified of the incident.
According to the priest, the thieves stole the Goddess's gold eyes and other items, including a silver crown, while the articles in other temples within the complex remained undamaged.
Police officers and forensic experts visited the temple and began an investigation into the incident. More information is awaited.
