Sundargarh: On Wednesday, three people were killed after the motorcycle they were riding on was hit by a speeding bus in the Hemgiri area of Odisha's Sundargarh district.
According to reports, three pals were riding their bikes when a passenger bus traveling from Belpahar to Tumulia rammed their two-wheeler near Gopalpur hamlet in the Hemgiri police limits.
While two people died on the spot, another died from injuries while being treated at the Sundargarh district headquarters hospital.
Rohan Pandey, Shyam Digal, and Om Vaishal of Gopalpur village were identified as the victims.
A police squad was dispatched to the scene, and a case was opened in this regard. An investigation is now underway.
