Illegal gun manufacturing unit busted in Boudh; 1 held

Boudh: On Monday night, the Boudh district of Odisha saw the discovery of an illegal country-made gun manufacturing facility, and one guy was taken into custody.

Shesadeb Bindhani has been identified as the person who was arrested. He was producing illegal firearms in his home with the intention of selling them to criminals and antisocial people.

In Sileipada village, within the Manmunda police limits of the district, Inspector A K Bhitria conducted a late-night search on a person's home after receiving reliable information regarding the unlawful unit.

One large country-made pistol, one small country-made pistol, four numbers of country-made guns (single barrel muzzle loading), manufacturing items such as one muzzle, five iron rods, three gelatin sticks, four trigger assembly pieces, six stickers, two chakra pieces, two nangala pieces, three kamini pieces, two iron plates of rifle body, and three (chapa) trigger assembly pieces, one piece of spring, two pieces of angle grinder, one piece of electric drill machine, one hammer, seven pieces of iron pipe, seventeen pieces of bindhan, seven pieces (file) of renta, two pieces of iron chimtha were found during the search of the home. Additionally, three gelatin sticks were taken from Bindhani.

The accused person was detained and brought before the court alongside the items that had been seized. To find out if other people were involved in the unlawful transaction and transit of the firearms, the police have opened a new investigation.
