Bhubaneswar: While Naveen Patnaik, the chief minister of Odisha, is in the United Arab Emirates for the final leg of his 10-day international trip, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to fly into Abu Dhabi on Tuesday after attending the G-7 summit in Germany to offer his condolences to the family of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the late ruler of Abu Dhabi and former president of the United Arab Emirates.

On Wednesday, Naveen will present Odisha as an industry-friendly destination at the Odisha Investors' Meet 2022, his first abroad event since taking office as chief minister in 2000. Additionally, he will communicate with non-resident Odias who reside in the MENA region.

Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, the state's minister of food supplies and consumer welfare, and senior BJD MLA Debi Prasad Mishra have accompanied Naveen on his late-Sunday flight from Rome to Dubai.

In order to promote investment, Debi Mishra famously led a State mission to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, in April 2016.

Naveen went to the Sheikh Zayed Mosque on Monday in Abu Dhabi. The Sheikh Zayed Mosque's marble dome, which features delicate inlay work influenced by Moghul architecture, is the pinnacle of magnificence. I've been told that the marbles and the artisans both came from the Rajasthani village of Makrana. The Chief Minister tweeted about the trip and shared a video of it online.
