Bhubaneswar: The revenue Inspector (RI) of Sindhrimalo circle was apprehended on Wednesday in Odisha Malkangiri district while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 25,000.
According to the official release, RI Simanchal Sahu sought illegal gratification from the complainant in exchange for demarcation of her land acquired by the government for the Malkangiri airstrip. She'd recently been compensated for it.
According to the release, the entire bribe money was seized from the RI, and simultaneous searches are being conducted at two locations associated with him to determine if he had accumulated assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
