Engineering Books To Be Available In Odia Language

Bhubaneswar: The Indian Technical Education Council (AICTE) signed Monday a Memorandum of Understanding with the Odia Studies and Research Institute (IOSR) to provide libraries of engineering classes in the language of the Odias.
The MoU was signed by Dharmendra Pradhan, the Minister for Education of the Union.
"AICTE and Institute of Odia Studies and Research (IOSR) executed a Memorandum of Understanding in the presence of Union Education Minister Shri Dharmendra Pradhan at IIT Kharagpur Extension, Bhubaneswar, in order to facilitate the elaboration and implementation of technical books at degree and diploma level in Odia in the academic session 2022," AICTE said via a statement in which the Department of Education (UES) took part.
Both AICTE and IOSR were grateful to Pradhan for his endeavour. In accordance with the National Educational Policy (NEP 2020), he added, preparing study material for Engineering education in Odia Language is a major leap to providing mother tongue education.
